Decades-long volunteer honored: Even after Joyce Byerly’s son graduated from Aloha High School in 2003, she continued to volunteer at the library every week. In fact, she has wrapped and shelved books in five different school libraries for 24 years.

To recognize her, the Beaverton School District named Byerly as Library Volunteer of the Year. Byerly has volunteered at Cooper Mountain Elementary, Hazeldale Elementary School, Highland Park Middle School, Mountain View Middle School and Aloha High school.

Real estate: There are several office and industrial buildings available in Aloha. The buildings are just off Tualatin Valley Highway and range from 500 square feet to 1,200 square feet for office space and 3,200 square feet to 10,000 square feet for the industrial space.

Think of all the possibilities. What would residents want?
